Australians did themselves a favour and watched the Molly Meldrum biopic, Molly, which has rocketed to No 1 on the TV ratings chart.
The launch episode of the two-part miniseries attracted 1.793 million viewers on Sunday night.
My Kitchen Rules came in second, landing a one-two punch for the Seven Network on the first night of official OzTAM ratings for 2016, with 1.399 million viewers.
Surprisingly, UK medical comedy Doc Martin (1.004 million) beat Australia’s Got Talent (884,000) and the first elimination on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! (626,000).
