The number of jobs advertised in 2015 rose by 10 per cent, and that growth is expected to continue into the new year.
The number of job advertisements on the internet and in newspapers fell 0.1 per cent in December, following four consecutive months of rises, seasonally adjusted, figures from ANZ show.
ANZ chief economist Warren Hogan said that has helped the unemployment rate fall below six per cent.
“The positive job ads trend suggests that the jobless rate should remain below six per cent in coming months and could even improve a little further,” he said.
