Ever wondered who would win if Wolverine took on Edward Scissorhands?

That’s just one of many ideas offered up by fans of the X-men character when actor Hugh Jackman put the call out for suggestions for the next Wolverine movie, which he says will be his last.

The Aussie actor rose to Hollywood fame after playing Logan aka Wolverine in the first X-men movie in 2000. Since then he’s starred in five more X-men movies and a stand-alone movie The Wolverine.

“My last time putting on the claws. What do you want to see happen? 50 words or less. I’ll read as many as I can,” Jackman tweeted to his five and a half million followers, along with a teaser pic of Wolverine captioned #onelasttime.

Wolverine the musical got a few votes from fans, which could be perfect for Hugh given his Tony-award winning performance in Broadway hit The Boy from Oz.

Others want to see what Wolverine can do with those claws: visit a busy nail salon, open a bottle of bubbly with one of the blades, use the claws to spread butter on a dinner roll, or do a song and dance number with jazz-claws.

Twitter user Halit suggested Wolverine wreak havoc on the set of Neighbours. “In an epic last stand, Wolverine takes on the might of Ramsey Street in a no-holds-barred fight to the death. Harold wins,” he tweeted.

But by far the most popular – and serious – idea is Old Man Logan, based on the Marvel comic book series.

Jackman thanked fans for their overwhelming response. “Guys, I am completely blown away by the responses to my tweet about your ideas. I’m gonna read as many as possible. I’ve already been loving reading them,” he said in a video on Twitter.
